  While a certain game or topic will bring a viewer into a broadcast, engaging and connecting with that viewer is what will keep that person coming back. Many streamers create additives such as fun point redemptions and community goals to help retain repeat viewership. Finding unique interactions to help set your stream apart can help improve the overall engagement.

• Moderators

  Choosing the right moderator(s) is an important part of streaming. A moderator's duty is to assist the streamer with maintaining peace in the chat and operating stream commands when necessary. Moderators can also help to engage chat in discussion to keep viewer activity consistent, especially when the streamer needs to take a break or focus on a given task. Lastly, since this role is generally filled by volunteers, it is important to determine if a potential candidate's schedule is conducive to the stream schedule to avoid a lack of active moderators.
