  An important part of any game project, assets provide the substance that brings a story to life. Thanks to the contribution of numerous developers, low cost and even free solutions to a game project's asset needs may be available.

• Licensing

  Before using any assets found from a third party, be sure to familiarize yourself with the licensing it's released under. Even assets that are marked as free-to-use may be differentiated between private and commercial use and require proper attribution. It is your responsibility to determine the meaning of terms such as "commercial" as it would apply to the project you are utilizing it for. A few examples of common licensing are provided below:
