If you've played Trove for any length of time, then you know it can be quite a grind gathering resources for a number of the craftables. We hope to offer here a simple tip that could help with leveling one of those crafting specialties. For those unfamiliar with the game, Trove is a voxel-based action MMO that lets you play multiple classes from a single character. Its expansive maps are filled with dungeons that contain upgradeable items, if you can defeat the multitude of monsters that guard them! Those same lands are filled with needed resources to gather for various crafts, with a number of wandering monsters in the various biomes providing an ample threat. With such dangers to the production line, what is a crafter to do?

The particular trade we're going to focus on for the context of this article is Ringcrafting. A character's skill level in each craft is broken into segments, with each segment range of levels representing an increasing mastery of it. In the early levels of Ringcrafting, labeled as the "Newbie" range, a character is able to create diamonds and simple rings. While a diamond is not needed for simple rings in the initial stage of Ringcrafting, the next several tiers of Ringcrafting do require them. For this reason, we suggest only crafting diamonds to level through the beginning "Newbie" tier of Ringcrafting as you will then have the materials that you need to level the next few tiers.

When a player reaches the (current) second to last tier labeled "Lord of the Rings", two new types of diamonds become available as ingredients in a new series of more powerful rings. These are the Shadow Diamond and Celestial Diamond, respectively. For an immediate stat boost, rings requiring the Shadow Diamond are a bit less difficult to collect, so we recommend leveling this range by creating Shadow Diamonds. A character will need a decent supply of them as the secondary attributes are random with each crafting and there is a variable chance of obtaining different levels of quality with stat changes. Ultimately, the highest tier rings will require both Shadow and Celestial Diamonds, so you'll want to expend them in judicious fashion.

All in all, it's simply a matter of planning ahead and plotting the course for maximum production and leveling efficiency. A little bit of work in the beginning to reduce the work needed later will certainly make for a more pleasurable gaming experience. This tip can be applied across the majority of crafting options within Trove and is generally a useful practice in most MMORPG's with trade skills.
